The economics major in question is Paul Gardner Allen. He co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates, whom he convinced to drop out of Harvard University in order to create the company. Allen is founder and chairman of Vulcan Inc., his private asset management company, and chairman of Charter Communications. Allen attended Washington State University and was an active member in Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, but he dropped out after two years to work as a programmer for Honeywell in Boston (This was before Microsoft was founded.)

Allen has been listed as one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World. He is also listed as one of the richest people in the world. More importantly, though, Allen supports various philanthropic venues with his wealth.

Sorry, Leesha, but it's not Paul Allen.

I believe the person in the picture is Chris Hughes. Chris Hughes is a co-founder of facebook along with his college roommates, Mark Zuckerburg and Dustin Moskovitz. The three roommates started facebook primarily as a social network for students on Harvard's Campus in Feb. 2004. The social network quickly expanded to other Ivy League Schools and soon became the social networking giant it is today. Moskovits left the company to begin a new company on his own. This left Hughes and Zuckerburg in charge of the facebook nation. Chris Hughes graduated from Harvard University in 2006, but his business partner, Zuckerburg, had dropped out of Harvard to launch facebook and never returned. Hughes not only is a co-founder of facebook, but is known as the wiz-kid behind the Obama campaign.

Sorry, Megan, but it's not Chris Hughes. Remember, the person is an economics major. There is no indication from the two proposed answers that indicates either was an econ major. Also, neither of the two suggested gentlemen are bald.

Steve Ballmer fits the description given for our mystery person. Do we need to write a description and life story for these questions? I was under the impression we only needed to give his name.
